Book Signing

Met the lovely Marcus Du Sautoy on Sunday at the Cheltenham Science Festival and bought his latest book "What We cannot Know" which he very kindly signed for me.

I now have 4 of his books about mathematics. If anyone is considering studying mathematics at degree level or just enjoys maths, I would thoroughly recommend his books to extend your maths knowledge.

Had a great week working with children in my local library in Brackley and also Middleton Cheney Library doing Gnasher's Doghouse. The children learnt the names of 2-D shapes by playing shape bingo, discussed what a net was and learnt the names of 3-D shape and then made Gnasher's Doghouse using the net provided. Next week we'll be kite making in Brackley and learning names of quadrilaterals and in Middleton Cheney we'll be making things that balance in strange ways.

BBC2 next week is Science week between 1 and 3pm They are showing BBC BITESIZE programmes between 1 and 2pm followed by The planets between 2 and 3pm for all the budding astronomers put there!
