BBC TV EDUCATION ANNOUNCEMENT Starting on Monday 11 January, each week day on CBBC will see a three-hour block of primary school programming from 9am, including BBC Live Lessons and BBC Bitesize Daily, as well as other educational programming such as Our School and Celebrity Supply Teacher and much loved titles such as Horrible Histories, Art Ninja and Operation Ouch. BBC Two will cater for secondary students with programming to support the GCSE curriculum, with a least two hours of content each weekday. So here we are back in the inevitable full lockdown. Parents are now back in the situation of delivering the school content, while schools are doing their best to provide accessible resources. It's far from easy. Do the work in chunks of about 20 mins with a 5-10 minute break inbetween. In a classroom your child would only be working on one thing for an hour if they were doing a test. A lesson has natural breaks in it where the teacher would be talking or there would be a change in task It's uncertain times for our exam students while we wait to find out how they will be assessed this year. Hopefully we will find out a little bit more today. I know my tutees are worried as a few of them did not perform as well as they could have in mocks. Worrying about not having completed all the content and missing time from school, not only due to lockdown but to year bubbles needing to be isolated, did not help them. It compounded the stress for those who worry about exams normally. ...
