Maths pebbles!

Image
Don't know if your area is into pebble hunting but it certainly is a big thing here in Brackley! To keep the kids maths skills polished whilst they are on holiday I am creating and hiding times tables pebbles (not full sets, but those awkward ones that a lot of people struggle with). They have the calculation on one side and the answer on the other. Who will be the first to find some?

STEM Crafts

Had a great week working with children in my local library in Brackley and also Middleton Cheney Library doing Gnasher's Doghouse. The children learnt the names of 2-D shapes by playing shape bingo, discussed what a net was and learnt the names of 3-D shape and then made Gnasher's Doghouse using the net provided. Next week we'll be kite making in Brackley and learning names of quadrilaterals and in Middleton Cheney we'll be making things that balance in strange ways.
